Shaw Supply Company was founded in 1957. The Shaw family, however,
has been associated with the electrical industry in Kansas City since the early 1900's
when John H. Shaw started a small electrical contracting company on the city's east side.
His son, Firth Shaw, joined the family contracting business in the late 1930's.
In 1957, Firth left the contracting business and founded Shaw Supply Company.
Firth's goal was to raise the bar of the traditional electrical supply house.
He used his 20 years experience in the contracting business to offer his customers not only quality electrical products at wholesale prices,
but also technical expertise and problem solving solutions for countless electrical applications.

Fifty two years later, the company continues to serve the Midwest construction market and beyond with quality products at wholesale prices.
